Jesse Lent creates songs about the experience of being a human being.
As bassist and producer of CSC Funk Band (with members of Gwar, Talibam! and Bad Manners), the first instrumental act signed to legendary hip-hop label Fat Beats, Jesse’s album Funkincense was singled out by Spin as an essential Record Store Day release.
With his garage rock band The Monte Vista receiving significant airplay in the UK, Jesse disbanded the group, for which he contributed guitar and lead vocals, and formed The Sweetheartz of the Psychic Rodeo--a collaboration with Brady Oh (the voice of Garmadon in the Lego Ninjago Movie).
Their debut album The Originals has been streamed over 250,000 times.
Also an established soundtrack composer, Jesse’s animated score for the humanitarian agency OCHA was retweeted by UN Secretary-General António Guterres in July of 2022.
Jesse is currently working on an acoustic solo album following a move to the Netherlands while performing shows across Europe. He is also the host of Streets of Fire, the only radio series about the Netherlands music scene, streaming live Fridays from 14.00-15.00 on BroadcastAmsterdam.nl.
